Attending the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) is nothing short of spectacular. For starters, the Builders’ Show is the largest annual light construction show in the world, and it will showcase over 1,400 manufacturers and bring together more than 60,000 building professionals from across the globe.

As impressive as the show floor is, time and time again, attendees tell us that the number one reason why they attend the show each year is because of the education available.

And there is a lot! More than 130 education sessions will be offered at the show along with a variety of additional learning opportunities in The Centrals, on the show floor and beyond!

Education available at IBS 2017:

Pre-Show Courses: These one- and two-day courses are offered Jan. 6 – 9 (before the official opening of the show) and give you a chance to become fully immersed in a specific industry topic. NOTE: There are additional fees associated with these courses.

Building Knowledge Sessions*: These 60-90 minute sessions are the foundation of IBS education.

Master Sessions*: Five in-depth, three-hour advanced Master Sessions will be available during the show. Reserve your seat in advance for only $25.

Thought Leader Sessions*: These exclusive series of sessions feature innovators from inside and outside the industry who are transforming their companies and the way business is done.

Builder Clinic Sessions (new for 2017)*: Live demonstrations of various building techniques with a focus on finish and trim carpentry. The Clinics will be led by Gary Striegler, one of the premier finish carpenters in the country.

Tech Bytes Sessions* (new for 2017): See and test out various social media platforms, virtual reality, video applications and other tech tools.

Spotlight Sessions*: These sessions feature high-profile speakers and highlight the latest trends the industry has to offer.

Plan Review Sessions*: These sessions provide you with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an architect who will spend 30 minutes reviewing your housing plans and providing creative ideas for changing or expanding them to better meet the needs of today’s home buyers.

The Centrals: Education is also held inside the Centrals. The speakers are industry pros who love and live their niche area of expertise—so the discussions are always lively. Open to all IBS registrants.

The High Performance Building Zone (HPBZ): Located on the show floor, this is where you’ll discover best practices for improving energy efficiency in all areas of the home. NEW for 2017, the Building Performance Lab will provide the opportunity to see high performance building techniques and practices up close and in action through a small, finished model home.

Exhibitor Forums: Exhibiting companies will offer NAHB-approved education forums in their booths throughout the Show.

The show will take place January 10 – 12, 2017 in Orlando, FL. Register at BuildersShow.com.
