The NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) is your best
opportunity to get all the tools you need to improve your business in just three
days. You get access to the latest products, gain industry knowledge and have
the chance to network with like-minded professionals. Once again, IBS has made
a lot of exciting changes for 2017. Check out all of the new and exciting
things happening at this year’s show.

New
Location: Orlando
—After five years in
Las Vegas, IBS is returning to Orlando, and a lot has changed since 2012. For
starters, the Orange County Convention Center, where the Builders’ Show is
being held, has undergone significant renovations that make it more comfortable
and maneuverable for attendees. Plus there are many new theme parks, attractions
(that you can do in three-hours or less)
, amazing
restaurants
and plenty of places to shop and stay. In other words: there’s
something for everyone who visits Orlando.

NAHB
Meeting of the Members
—This event is exclusive to NAHB members and is a
great opportunity for you to explore the inner workings of NAHB and network
with like-minded building professionals. Get a first-hand perspective on how
NAHB develops its priorities and creates action plans. Additionally,
businesswoman and “Shark Tank” personality Barbara Corcoran will present her
unique and winning strategies on how to lead teams to success during this event.
It is complimentary, but an RSVP is requested.

The New American Remodeled Home® (TNARH)—In addition to
The New American Home®, this 1987-built home features many of the typical
design elements found in homes of the late ’80s: tiled roof, stucco quoins,
mauve-colored carpet and a concrete block foundation. The home’s footprint will
stay the same, but that’s about the only thing, as it was gutted down to the
studs. When complete, TNARH will showcase how an existing home—even a high-end
one such as this—can be significantly improved in design, livability and energy
efficiency when using today’s building techniques, products and standards.

IBS
Education
—With more than 130 sessions to choose from in 8 tracks covering
design, sales, remodeling, high-performance building, business management and
more, it’s no wonder IBS education has become the go-to resource for builders
and industry professionals who are serious about improving their skills and
increasing their bottom line. Nearly 50% of the speakers are new to the Builders’
Show and 80% of the sessions will be original programs only found at IBS.

Tech
Bytes
—In this series of short 20- to 30-minute sessions, you can learn
about and test out various social media platforms, as well as virtual reality
and video applications. Each will be presented as an interactive 30-minute
demonstration, showing you the practical side of various tools you may want to
consider for your business.

Builder
Clinics
—Led by Gary Striegler, one of the premier finish carpenters in the
country, these sessions feature hands-on, interactive learning with live
demonstrations of various building techniques and a focus on finish and trim
carpentry. Not only will you learn how to build incredible custom features,
such as pocket and sliding doors, site-built cabinets and more, but Gary will
also show you how to do so in a manner that is friendly to your timeline and
your budget.

CEDIA®
Smart Home Pavilion
—The Pavilion is designated specifically for exhibitors
who specialize in technology solutions for the home. Not only will you be able
to see the latest technology products for the home, but there will also be a
variety of 20- to 30-minute presentations throughout the three-day show.
