education courses at the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) are one of
the best ways to gain knowledge on a specific topic in the building industry.
One of the pre-show courses available the weekend before IBS is the

Project Management course. 

A successful project is one that is built on time, on
budget and to the customer’s satisfaction. By enrolling in this course, you
will learn project management concepts and strategies to help you increase your
professional value and the value you bring to your company and your clients.

This course is designed to teach you the basics of
successful project management and explains the role of project managers during
each phase of a project: pre-construction, construction and post-construction.
As a graduate, you will be able to:

  • Understand and execute the pre-construction
    project management functions and responsibilities.
  • Efficiently utilize the tools available for
    project management.
  • Manage trade contractors effectively.
  • Competently and confidently perform project
    management duties during all phases of construction

The Project Management course takes place on Saturday,
January 7 and counts for 6 AIA/CES LU, 6 CE for AIBD and 6 CE for all NAHB designations
except HCCP.

Pre-show courses are available January 6–9, 2017 in
Orlando. There will be 27 pre-show
courses offered at IBS. Nowhere else during the year will you find all of these
courses available in one place, at one time.
