IBS Centrals: 6 Questions Answered About This Fun, Informative Hangout

image

Even though the Centrals have been a part of the NAHB
International Builders’ Show® (IBS) since 2011, many attendees still haven’t stopped
in to experience the buzz. This is why we’re answering the six most common
questions we hear about the Centrals—some of the most fun and informative
hangouts at the Builders’ Show.

1. What are the
IBS Centrals?

The IBS Centrals are a little bit of everything rolled
into one fun, comfortable space. The first thing you’ll notice is there are six
main Centrals. That’s because each one is focused on a niche area of the
building industry:

  • 55+ Housing
  • Custom Building
  • Design Studio
  • Multifamily
  • Remodelers
  • Sales

Throughout the duration of the show, the Centrals have
their own programming schedule, too. You can find the complete list of programs
inside the Official IBS Show Guide available on site, on the IBS Smartphone App
(coming in December) or by visiting BuildersShow.com/centrals

2. Who can go
inside the IBS Centrals?

All IBS registrants can go inside the Centrals. This
means no matter what
IBS registration type you selected,
you’re welcome to check out any Central you want (or all six), attend a few
workshops and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.

3. What will you
find inside the IBS Centrals?

The Centrals are a great place to take in a seminar, discussion,
workshop or simply network with others while grabbing a bite to eat. When
programs aren’t happening, the casual atmosphere and comfortable furniture make
them a great place to relax. You can catch up on email or make phone calls back
to the office, or use the space to meet with one of our specialists to discuss
trends and challenges or talk shop with a colleague.

4. What are the IBS
Centrals programs like?

Programs held at the Centrals are more informal than
traditional education sessions, but just as engaging. You’ll still get fresh
ideas and information on the latest trends by attending these workshops. They
feature industry pros who love and live their areas of expertise—so the
discussions are always a bit more animated and entertaining as the passion for
these topics ignites.

Typically, the sessions are a bit shorter than
traditional education, too—usually 30 to 45 minutes—and many enjoy the small
group learning opportunities, too.

5. When are the IBS
Centrals open?

Centrals are open all three days of the show—January 10,
11, 12. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and on
Thursday, the last day of the show, they are open from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm.

6. Where can I
