If you’ve attended NAHB’s International Builders’ Show®
(IBS) in the past, you probably will be surprised to learn that registration is
already open. That’s right! As of August 1, you can register for IBS 2017.
The decision to open registration earlier this year is a
result of the Builders’ Show occurring just days after the holiday season.
Shifting registration to open in August allows you ample time to plan your IBS
experience—and gives you attractive deals at the same time!
The Best Registration and
The best deals on registration do happen only once a
year—in August—but it is also the best time to secure a hotel room.
Deals: If you want to take advantage of the best
deals on IBS registration, you must do so in August. An IBS expo pass is
FREE for NAHB members and $50 for non-members. You can also save $100 on a full
registration—with access to 130+ IBS Education sessions led by industry experts
and phenomenal speakers. Other deals include passes on 1-Day education and registering
your spouse for free.
Options: Orlando is a destination spot for many, especially in early
January, so in addition to securing an IBS registration deal this month, it is
equally important that you book your hotel room. IBS has reserved blocks of
rooms at dozens of hotels in Orlando at a discounted, conference rate, which
you can secure by booking directly through BuildersShow.com. Additionally, your
hotel rate includes shuttle service to and from the convention center during
the three days of the show, as well as the best terms like later cancellation
options. If you book your hotel room through the show, your credit card won’t
even be charged for a deposit until December.
Special Events: Plan Ahead
for the Most Fun
Among the many draws to IBS will be the special events
being held throughout the week. Now is the time to also purchase your tickets
to these events before they are sold out.
The Official IBS
House Party: Celebrate the start of the Builders’ Show with the Official
IBS House Party on Tuesday evening at Mango’s—one of the hottest new spots
in Orlando. Be entertained by live music and world-famous dancers, and enjoy
mojitos and heavy hors d’oeuvres as part of a two-hour open bar. The Official
IBS House Party is always the largest IBS networking event, so buy your tickets
before this event is sold out!
Young Pro Party:
If you are under 40, the Young Pro
Party on Wednesday night is your chance to meet other young professionals
in the building industry in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. This year’s event
will be held at Lafayette’s, Point Orlando’s newest joint to enjoy live music
while you kick back.
IBS Closing Spike
Concert: This concert after the show closes on Thursday evening may be the
hottest ticket, not just at IBS, but in Orlando! Come rock out with the energetic and inspired Little Big Town—2016 Grammy Award winners for “Best Country
Group/Duo Performance,” and “Best Country Song” for the song Girl Crush—at the
IBS Closing Spike Concert this year. This is definitely a concert you won’t
want to miss, so be sure to purchase your tickets early.
Remember, registration rates
will increase on September 1, so be sure to take advantage of the best pricing
available now. The 2017 Builders’ Show will take place January 10–12 in
Orlando, FL. Register at BuildersShow.com.
