The third phase of The New American Home^® 2024 (TNAH), the Official Show Home of the NAHB International Builders’ Show^® (IBS) is complete! Located in the foothills of the Ascaya subdivision of Henderson, NV, the home was designed and built by the award-winning and experienced design-build firm Sun West Custom Homes.

Overcoming Challenges in Phase 3

Phase 3 required some shifting to continue building in the face of supply challenges. While waiting for the mechanical products to be delivered, they shifted to putting the roof on, for example. Their flexibility and organization show because the builder completed the project at least two months earlier than expected.

City inspections to pass mechanical rubs and frame inspections are complete. “When The New American Home and IBS came out, they said we’ve progressed faster than any build they’ve had in 25 years, so I’m happy!” shares Mark Schlachter, Superintendent of Sun West Custom Homes.
