Knowledge is power. This is certainly no exception when it comes to the education sessions at the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS). IBS Education Sessions are one of the main focal points of the show. EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR.  

IBS 2022 was no exception either. With 110 sessions in nine different tracks, education attracted a big crowd of home building professionals at the show. The Builders’ Show is known for delivering fresh perspectives each year as more than 50% of the speakers were first-time IBS presenters at 2022. 

Here are a few education highlights from this year’s offerings. 

Pre-Show Education 

Instead of a pre-party, we pre-educate at the Builders’ Show. Education kicked off the weekend before the official start of the show with Pre-show Education, NAHB Education Courses and Master Workshops.  

Participants in the NAHB Education Courses dove deep into industry topics and earned NAHB CEUs while doing it. The advanced three-hour Master Workshops featured some of the most well-known and respected experts on hot topics affecting the industry. 

Game Changers 

A game changer is an event, idea, or procedure that effects a significant shift in the current manner of doing or thinking about something. Thought leaders who are transforming their companies in fascinating ways shared their insights and knowledge so that attendees can effect change in their own businesses during the Game Changers sessions. There were three sessions offered during IBS 2022, each forced us to think about the issues the industry is facing in a whole new way.

Spotlight Sessions 

Spotlight Sessions are the most highly anticipated educational offerings featuring high-profile speakers that highlight some of the latest industry trends. IBS 2022 topics included:

• The housing economic outlook
• Design trends 
• Sales training and more 

Tech Bytes 

Tech Bytes were 30-minute sessions offering a one-of-a-kind opportunity to discover the latest products, applications and tech platforms. Attendees got a whole lot of technology in a little bit of time. 

Building Knowledge Sessions 

The Building Knowledge Sessions are the foundation of IBS education, attended by thousands of attendees. At IBS 2022, these 60-minute sessions were available in nine tracks:
