The New American Remodel 2022: Phase 2 Update

The New American Remodel® (TNAR) 2022 is a one-story mid-century house located on the beautiful banks of Lake Sue. “My vision … is to have a home that is essentially from 1963 but doubled in size,” explains Eric J. Gray, owner of Designer Trade Services – the company undertaking this remodeling endeavor.

The tight remodeling timeline is always a challenge with these projects. While the home was built in the early ‘60s, it has previously undergone other renovations which must also be reviewed and addressed.

“It’s just about managing the schedule, staying on top of people and staying in communication,” says Gray. “We’re in pretty good shape.”

During Phase 2, the footers have been poured, the stem walls have been built and rough-in plumbing is complete. The existing home had old cast iron plumbing and a septic tank. Both were removed and replaced with SharkBite Plumbing Solutions. The home is now tied into the city sewer system.

Many innovative products are used in this remodel, including products from Kohler Co., Dal-Tile, JELD-WEN, Bosch Appliances, Thermador, Cambria and Welborn Cabinetry, Inc.

This leading-edge remodeled home will be open for in-person touring during the Builders’ Show, February 8-10, 2022, in Orlando Florida. Visit TNARH.com to learn more.
