Four head shots of men, laid out in a grid

Join leading experts in the field of applied building science to learn how to improve construction quality, customer satisfaction and profit margins—all with the same techniques.

In this NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) Master Workshop “Reducing Cost + Improving Construction Quality: Can You Have It Both Ways?,” learn how you can use building science research to deliver houses that meet ever-increasing homeowners’ expectations and codes.

Our panel of building science and construction experts, Gord Cooke, Justin Wilson, Mark LaLiberte and Sam Rashkin, have more than 60 years of collective experience. They will provide secrets about how to improve durability, health, comfort and efficiency, in addition to optimizing build cycle times and reducing costly rework.

In this three-hour Master Workshop, you will:
• Understand how specific building science practices can increase durability and building performance while reducing costs.
• Apply specific building science practices in design and construction with the outcome of increasing durability and building performance by reducing costs.
• Evaluate benefits and trade-offs of specific design and construction practices and select those that best suit your construction type and climate zone.

This workshop is best suited for those who have a solid introductory knowledge of building science, design and construction practices. It will set you on the path of continuous improvement.
