3 Ways IBS Offers Career & Professional Growth Opportunities

Group of building professionals check out new technologies at IBS 2023.

Designers, builders, remodelers, architects and other residential building professionals attend the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) each year for a glimpse of the latest products and to learn innovative techniques and industry best practices.

The show floor buzzes with excitement as tens of thousands of industry professionals seek out new information and business relationships. Discover what makes IBS the place to experience career and professional growth year after year.

#1: Connections & Networking

Networking and connecting with other industry professionals is always a top draw to attend IBS. People from different parts of the United States and from around the world who work in all different sectors of the industry come together for three jam-packed days of connecting, growing and sharing.

From education sessions to the show floor—and everywhere in between—young professionals are able to build business relationships that last longer than the show.

#2: Comprehensive Industry-Specific Education

Especially as an industry professional between the ages of 21 and 35 years old, it’s imperative to participate in educational opportunities that contribute to career growth. The challenge is carving out time to do it. IBS gives you the time to work on professional development to further a career in residential construction.

100+ IBS Education Sessions share cutting-edge information, industry best practices and provide access to influential building industry leaders during one comprehensive show.

IBS is the biggest industry show of the year. The Builders’ Show connects attendees with top manufacturers and suppliers, innovative products and trends in hundreds of thousands of square feet of exhibit space.

While the show is huge, IBS is the one show that is completely focused on providing relevant information specifically for each career stage. Industry veterans share their knowledge, experience, challenges and solutions to help strategically build a career and business in the industry.
