The Las Vegas Monorail: A Great Way to Travel at IBS

The holiday season is now in full swing, and the NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS)®, happening Jan 31 – Feb 2, will be here before you know it! If you’ve registered to attend, bought your plane tickets and booked your hotel, it’s time to start thinking about logistics.

How will you get around Las Vegas? What restaurants do you want to try? What other can’t-miss attractions are on your must-visit list?

Over the next few weeks, we’ll share some of our recommendations for how to get the most out of your time in Vegas. Let’s start with one of the best ways to travel to and from the convention center as well as around the Strip: the Las Vegas Monorail (LVM).

What is the Monorail?

The Monorail runs the length of the Vegas strip, from the SAHARA Las Vegas station, right past the convention center, to MGM Grand station four miles away. Trains run every 4-8 minutes and it takes only 15 minutes to get from one end of the line to the other, making it ideal for covering a lot of ground quickly.

A Special Partnership with IBS

This year IBS is partnering with the Las Vegas Monorail to offer IBS attendees a special deal: purchase and add discounted Monorail tickets directly to show registration badges for 3 to 7-day unlimited ride passes on the LVM system. There’s no need for extra tickets or day passes and no need to wait in traffic or pay extra for parking. The Monorail is one of the fastest and cheapest ways to travel for IBS attendees.
