Demos, demos and more demos are happening at the 2023 NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Vegas, Jan 31 – Feb 2. The Builders’ Show features two main demo zones, both with live demonstrations of trending topics that are critical to the residential construction industry.
Construction Performance Zone
Step into the Construction Performance Zone (formerly the IBS Building Zone). Stay a while to see experts reveal industry best practices for building more durable, efficient, higher-quality homes. We start from the basements, move up to the wall systems and head up to the roofs.
The Construction Performance Zone is bringing together an unprecedented collection of experts for demonstrations and discussions. Demo leaders are Ben Bogie, a second-generation high-performance builder from New England and Josh Salinger, founder of Birdsmouth Design Build in Portland, Oregon. A host of leading builders and industry influencers are joining them throughout the week.

Building Display Area
Mock-ups created in the demos go on display in the Building Display Area. Get a closer look at how to build various components. See how the products and techniques discussed translate to real-world applications.
Craft Techniques Zone
The Craft Techniques Zone is new to the Builders’ Show. It explores the details and finishes that complete a home. Step into this new zone to participate in a variety of 30-minute interactive demonstrations highlighting best practices, tips and how-to techniques and skills on the craft side of the residential building industry.
Expert craftspersons Aaron Butts and Walt Tomala lead the demonstrations. Industry-leading builders and influencers like Jon Hilgenberg, Joe Cook, Dr. Decks and more join them during the week. It’s a must-see for builders, specialty remodelers, trade contractors and craft professionals interested in skilled techniques.
