7 Fun & Interesting Things to Do in Orlando

Welcome to Downtown Orlando

Orlando is known as “The Theme Park Capital of the World,” but there is so much more to do in O-town besides going to one of the theme parks. The NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) returns to Orlando in February 2026, so when you visit Orlando for the show here are 7 things you can do in Orlando in 3 hours or less before or after the show or when the show ends for the day.

  1. The Orlando Eye by Merlin Entertainments
This 400-foot observation wheel can be seen from miles away — and will provide you with some of the most breathtaking views of Central Florida. Take in the beautiful Orlando skyline, theme parks, lakes and lush landscape. On a clear day, you can even see Cape Canaveral on the east coast. The Orlando Eye is on International Drive at I-Drive 360, one of Orlando’s dining and entertainment complexes. Pre-book your tickets online for the best savings.
  2. Kings
This retro-inspired establishment is a great place to hang out for a few hours. It has 10-string bowling lanes, upgraded arcades, billiards, giant Jenga and Connect Four, high-definition TVs (to catch the game) and great food and beverages.
  3. Drawn to Life by Cirque du Soleil & Disney
Set your creativity in motion as art is brought to life in a way you’ve never seen before. Experience live acrobatics, Disney animation, Disney-inspired original score, stunning choreography and high-flying stunts.
  4. Universal’s CityWalk Disney Springs
Both Universal’s CityWalk and Disney Springs are great places for nightlife, dining, entertainment and shopping. You can find celebrity restaurants such as Emeril’s, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and the Hard Rock Café at CityWalk. Disney Springs is home to 175+ shopping and dining venues, including the House of Blues, Disney Food Trucks and Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar – an Indiana Jone’s theme restaurant.
  5. Crayola Experience
Here, creativity is encouraged with 26 hands-on attractions. You can learn how crayons are made, star in your coloring page, name and wrap your own Crayola crayon, embark on a 4-D coloring adventure and so much more. The Crayola Experience is inside the Florida Mall. To save and skip the line, buy your tickets online.
  6. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not
Where can you find shrunken heads, an authentic vampire killing kit, a shooting gallery and a wild spinning vortex tunnel in Orlando? At Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, of course!
