Featuring Larry Webb—Chief Executive Officer for The New Home Company
When asked what they most wanted to learn about at The 2019 NAHB International Builders’ Show®, attendees placed leadership and best practices of leading builders at the very top of their lists. The two undoubtedly go hand-in-hand—and there are few better in our industry to address these topics than The New Home Company CEO, Larry Webb.
A 30-year home building veteran, Larry Webb has a history of guiding his companies, both large and small, on journeys of tremendous growth and success. As CEO of John Laing Homes, he helped transform the small, two-market company into the second-largest private home builder in the United States. He then went on to found The New Home Company and grew the organization from four employees to close to 300 today.
This success and Larry’s leadership philosophy are built on a conscientious approach toward clients, communities and employees. Simply put, he believes we are in the people business, first and foremost.
You’ll hear about his passion and pride for home building, and how it drives his leadership philosophy and his company’s industry-renowned culture. As Larry told Professional Builder in an interview, “What’s great is that I get to demand the very best in people every single day because if what we do is noble and important, then damn, we better be good at it.”
