What’s New in Las Vegas for IBS 2019 Visitors

Las Vegas is a town that never sleeps, and because of that, it also means that it’s constantly undergoing change. Renovated hotels, fun entertainment options and new shops are always being announced.

Here are a few new things to put on your radar while attending IBS 2019.

The Vegas Golden Knights (VGK) is the new talk of the town! In its inaugural year (2017–18), the VGK represented the National Hockey League’s Western Conference in the Stanley Cup Championship. The VGK play at T-Mobile Arena, a 17,500-seat multi-purpose complex located on the Strip.

Topgolf Las Vegas, located at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, is a premium golf entertainment complex. It features 107 climate-controlled hitting bays, two pools, VIP cabanas and private suites, five unique bars and a concert venue that can hold up to 900 guests.

Fly LINQ is a new zip-line attraction that allows adventuresome thrill-seekers to soar more than 1,000 feet above the dining, entertainment and retail space of The LINQ outdoor promenade. This 122-foot tower can accommodate as many as 10 people side-by-side to zip-line at up to 35 mph.

Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen is a new stand-alone restaurant on the Strip. Located in front of Caesar’s Palace, it is both a dining experience and a tourist attraction (complete with the expected yelling between the chefs and kitchen staff).

The Luxor made room for gaming and sports enthusiasts by teaming up with Allied Esports to open Esports Arena Las Vegas. This 30,000-square-foot multi-level venue features a 50-foot LED video wall, individual gaming stations, telescopic stadium seating, food, drink and more. This is the first permanent esports venue on the Strip.

Virtual reality (VR) is part of Vegas entertainment. Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire is a virtual reality experience in which you are disguised as a stormtrooper exploring a molten planet. This attraction is located at the Grand Canal Shoppes that connects the Venetian and Palazzo resorts. New York, New York has also given their famous attraction an upgrade. The Virtual Reality Big Apple Roller Coaster tops out at 67 mph and measures 4,777 feet—making it the longest VR roller coaster in the world.
