2016 IBS Announces Master Session on Fast & Accurate Estimating

Building professionals know that estimating is the
cornerstone of any successful design and construction project, but cost
estimating line-by-line, while a proven method, is extremely time intensive.

If you are looking for a more efficient way to estimate
your projects—without sacrificing accuracy—this Master session is for you.

During the “Fast
& Accurate Estimating: Tips, Tools & Shortcuts”
Master session, industry
expert Dennis Dixon will present cost estimating ideas, suggestions and methods,
and explore both “old school” and new estimating methods that are geared to
teach you how to save a significant amount of time.

As part of this interactive session, you will gain a
deeper understanding of the ways to compare different designs and integrate the
function of cost instead of guessing. See how the “wants and needs
requirements” of any demographic can be assembled into a list of options for
buyers that assure profits and minimize changes and mistakes. By focusing on
historical designs and real buyer housing wants, you can streamline your
estimating process and make fast and factual design decisions on every project
you bid.

This Master session
will be held on Thursday, January 21 from 1:30 – 4:30 pm
and is eligible
for continuing education credits. A full registration or one-day education
registration for Thursday is required to attend. General seating is first-come,
first-served, but seats can be reserved in advance for $25. Reserved seating
can only be purchased during IBS
advanced registration online, not on site.
