New for the 2016 International Builders Show (IBS) is a unique
education track: Building Science,
Performance and Systems.
This track, exclusive
to IBS
, is focused on building a smarter, better and more efficient home
and will reflect the theory, science, codes and techniques to help builders,
remodelers and design professionals accomplish just that.

“With new building products and techniques emerging at a
rapid pace, we felt it was important to have an education track dedicated to
these topics,” explains Alan
Hanbury, Convention Education Subcommittee Chair.  “Additionally, as
codes and building methods continue to evolve, builders need to understand the
best ways to keep their homes healthy, comfortable and enjoyable to live in
while still meeting these new requirements!”

Here’s some of
what you can expect from this new Knowledge Building track:

  • Discover emerging tools, gadgets and
methodologies that will make your homes smarter and enhance the enjoyment your
customers get from living in them.
  • Learn how to sell these upgraded (and
profitable) features to buyers – even when they are the less-noticeable,
    behind-the-walls features.
  • Examine advanced building science techniques to help you reduce
construction costs and increase energy efficiency.
  • Demonstrate to potential buyers the value of
these building innovations – from reduced costs, increased comfort, total
