IBS 2019 Master Session: From A (Accounting) to W (Warranty): Mastering the 15 Critical Functions of Home Building

By its nature, home building is a multi-discipline business that requires expertise in diverse areas. Understanding and mastering each of the 15 Critical Functions of Home Building, and more importantly the relationships between them, is the key to a winning organization and satisfied customers.

The NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) Master Session, “From A (Accounting) to W (Warranty): Mastering the 15 Critical Functions of Home Building,” will address the role, details and interactions of critical business functions, including: vision, leadership and strategic planning, building lot acquisition and development, product development, estimating, purchasing, pricing, finance, accounting, marketing, sales, administration and customer selections, human resources, construction management and warranty.

In this three-hour advanced session, you will:
• Understand how mastering the 15 Critical Functions leads to financial success, how they relate to each other and how they can be effectively implemented.
• Learn the concept of Dynamic Interactive Thinking and its role in building a vibrant, flexible home building company.
• Gain a broader understanding of pricing strategies and how to successfully integrate the product development, marketing, sales, estimating and pricing functions.

How to Secure Your Seat:
This Master Session will be held on Wednesday, February 20 from 8:00 – 11:00 AM and is eligible for continuing education credits. To register, you must have a full registration or one-day education registration for Wednesday. General seating is first-come, first-served, but seats can be reserved in advance for $25.
