The 2022 International Builders’ Show is almost here. While we’re excited to see everyone and do all the things, we’re also focused on the health and safety of everyone at the show.
For the best and safest show experience, it’s time to start preparing for your upcoming trip to Orlando.
What are health and safety procedures for the show?
Our health & safety protocols for the show require you to take certain precautions before and during the show.
Proof of Negative Test OR Vaccination Card
Bring a printed or digital copy of your negative test (administered no earlier than February 6) or vaccination card. You need one of these to enter the Convention Center on show days.
Test Onsite
A third-party is going to be at the Convention Center offering limited testing starting February 7. You are responsible for paying the fee for this testing, if you are unable to secure a test beforehand.
Masks
You are required to wear a mask while on all show-related shuttles and while you are in the Convention Center on show days.

I have been to the world series, traveled abroad and countless conventions over the last year, none have had a mask mandate. Look around! masks don’t work they just create division. This mandate causes great concern that the NAHB is not representing the homebuilders accurately. I will not be renewing my membership nor attending this years convention.
We appreciate your feedback. We understand that there are varying comfort levels surrounding COVID health and safety policies, and that everyone may not necessarily agree on what’s best.
NAHB developed its health and safety policies in conjunction with NKBA, taking into account all the audiences present at the show — including exhibitors and attendees for both IBS and KBIS. We also worked with Emerald Expositions, which produces more than 50 tradeshows nationwide and has seen various policies in action, and a third-party modeling company to determine what would work best for all involved, especially given that everyone is coming from different areas with different policies in place, to avoid creating a super-spreader event. Preventing the spread is key, which is why attendees and exhibitors — regardless of vaccination status — are required to wear masks indoors at the Orange County Convention Center. We understand that this may change your interest in attending the show. However, if we do not see you this year, we hope to see you at a future event.
i am a builder in pa but am staying in florida for the winter i was looking forward to driving up to florida to attend the show. i’m glad i read your rules about masks and vaccine cards. i will not be attending the show or supporting NAHB. I will say i am very disappointed
