Sunday’s Pre-Show Educational Offerings at IBS 2022

Ten NAHB Education courses are available before the start of the 2022 NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS). These half- and full-day courses give you the opportunity to learn more about a specific industry topic while increasing your skill set.

The NAHB Education courses available on Sunday, February 6, includes:

Project Management | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

A successful project is one that is built on time, on budget and to the customer’s satisfaction. This one-day course will help you learn project management concepts, plus strategies designed to increase your professionalism and the value you bring to your company and consumers.

Financial Management | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Understanding the financial side of your business is critical to making key decisions that will help you increase your profit. This course gives building industry professionals tools to help them examine different financial pieces of their business. Learn how to improve productivity and increase profits by understanding the ins and outs of annual operating plans and budgets, financial reports, forecasting, and more.

Estimating and Scheduling for Profitable Business Operations | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Because the ability to prepare for a project is vital to its overall success, this course illustrates how to estimate and schedule work together to set up a project effectively. Gain greater efficiencies and protect profitability by learning the fundamentals of these two critical processes.

Land Development: Getting Started, Business Management & Financing | 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Get an introduction to land acquisition and development, and explore the first five of this eight-step process of becoming a successful developer. Learn strategies for finding land development opportunities for small projects, discuss business structures and more as you gain a balanced perspective on what it takes to develop land. This course is for individuals who are new to the land development process. NOTE: The final three steps are covered in the Site Planning, Approvals & Construction course on Monday.

The New Home Sales Professional | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Examine tips and techniques to help you become the best new home sales professional during this one-day course. It will provide you with the information you need to identify proper goals, organizational skills, ways to analyze the competition and more.

NAHB Education courses are part of the show’s pre-show educational offerings happening before the start of the show, on February 6–7, 2022, in Orlando, FL.  Participants may register for NAHB Education courses for a separate fee, which includes an expo pass.  Registration will close in advance of the show.
