What is MIRM? The Master in Residential Marketing (MIRM) designation is the highest achievement for new home sales and marketing professionals. Earning the MIRM designation sets you apart from the competition and increases your marketability because it demonstrates commitment to continued industry knowledge and professionalism. It is the pinnacle of new home sales education.

Courses needed to earn your MIRM are:

  • Principles of Residential Marketing: Research & Analysis Online (Part 1)
  • Principles of Residential Marketing: Research & Analysis Classroom (Part 2)
  • Principles of Residential Marketing: Strategy & Implementation Online (Part 1)
  • Principles of Residential Marketing: Strategy & Implementation Classroom (Part 2)

Here’s a closer look at the classroom components of the MIRM designation:

Principles of Residential Marketing: Research & Analysis—This classroom course applies the research and analysis concepts from the online course through hands-on training using your completed exercises from the online course. During this course, you will gain a deeper understanding of the key aspects of adaptability, evaluations, level of control and flexibility to achieve successful development projects, and learn how to continually revisit and revise strategies based on ongoing research.

Principles of Residential Marketing: Strategy & Implementation—After completing research and analysis that has helped you to identify the best location and product for your target market, you must determine the best approach to communicating to a mass of potential buyers. By incorporating both time-tested strategies and cutting-edge marketing tactics throughout the new home development process—from building to marketing to selling—you will be able to inspire your buyers to feel as if they couldn’t possibly live anywhere else.

Both classroom components for the MIRM are being offered the weekend before the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS)—as part of the pre-show course offerings. Note that you must complete the respective online (Part 1) course separately and that this is a prerequisite for taking the classroom course.

There are not a lot of MIRM designees in the market, but those who are, are the leaders in their field. Give yourself a sales and marketing edge with the MIRM designations. Read more about how to earn your MIRM designation.

Pre-show courses are available January 6 – 9, 2017 in Orlando. There will be 27 pre-show courses offered at IBS. Nowhere else during the year will you find all of these courses available in one place, at one time. Register for these courses, along with others, at BuildersShow.com.
