The World’s Finest Performances Can Be Seen at Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing
Arts
is a state-of-the-art performance and arts education center in the
heart of downtown Orlando. Named by Travel
+ Leisure
magazine as one of the “World’s Coolest New Tourist Attractions
2015” and by Southern Living one of
the “50 Best Places in the South Now,” the two-block destination’s vision is
“Arts for Every Life.”

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is a large
facility with multiple theaters, including:

  • 2,700-seat Walt Disney Theater
  • 300-seat Alexis & Jim Pugh Theater
  • Seneff Arts Plaza
  • The DeVos Family Room
  • Other event rental spaces

A future expansion will include the Steinmetz Hall, a 1,700-seat
acoustical theater and rehearsal space.

The Center boasts a full calendar of events, such as music,
Broadway series, comedy, corporate events, and children and family programs. It

    Tours
    :
    These are free 45-minute tours of the Center where you can hear the story of
    each unique space and get a peek behind the curtain of this astonishing facility.
    Tours are held most Saturday mornings, but you must register, as there is a
    maximum of 20 guests per tour, ages 7 to adult.

  • Wicked:
    The Broadway blockbuster Wicked will
    hit the Walt Disney Theater January 11 – 29, 2017. This show is the winner of
    over 100 international awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards.
    Tickets go on sale October 21.
